Akshaye Khanna Closes ₹33.26 Crore Malabar Hill Property Deal
Mumbai’s luxury residential market has recorded another major transaction, with actor Akshaye Khanna acquiring an apartment for ₹33.26 crore in Malabar Hill.
The property is situated at 30 Little Gibbs, Malabar Hill Road, and the transaction was registered in September 2026.
The apartment offers a 2,341.39 sq ft carpet area and another 175.45 sq ft of balcony area, taking the combined area to approximately 2,516.84 sq ft.
Three parking spaces form part of the transaction.
Deal Works Out to ₹1.42 Lakh Per Sq Ft
On the registered consideration of ₹33.26 crore, the transaction works out to approximately ₹1.42 lakh per sq ft when calculated on carpet area.
The buyer also paid approximately ₹1.99 crore as stamp duty and ₹30,000 towards registration charges.
For brokers tracking South Mumbai transactions, the deal provides another current benchmark for the upper end of Malabar Hill’s housing market.
However, locality-wide average rates should not be directly compared with individual luxury transactions because values can differ considerably depending on the building, floor, views, condition, amenities and parking allocation.
Previous Deals in the Building
30 Little Gibbs has also recorded other high-value transactions.
Property records cited in the report show a same-sized 2,341.39 sq ft apartment registered for ₹31.93 crore in January 2026, while two apartments of the same carpet area were registered for ₹30 crore each in June 2025.
Sandeep Sadh’s Take:
For brokers, the ₹1.42 lakh-per-sq-ft carpet benchmark is more useful than a broad locality average because it reflects an actual transaction in a specific premium building. Comparable deals within the same building remain important when assessing realistic pricing.
