PROPi.IN (the "Platform") provides a real estate networking application available on Web and Android. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Platform.

1. Information We Collect

a) Personal Information

• Name, email address, mobile number
• Company/firm name, RERA registration number
• Profile photo (if uploaded)
• User type (Property Advisor, Builder Sales Team)

b) Property & Business Data

• Property listings (location, price, configuration, images)
• Buyer/tenant requirements
• Contact reveal history and transaction records

c) Device & Usage Data

• Device type, OS version, browser/app version
• IP address, login timestamps
• Pages visited, search queries, feature usage
• Push notification tokens (for Expo push notifications)

d) Payment Data

• Payment is processed by Razorpay. We do NOT store credit/debit card numbers
• We store Razorpay transaction IDs and order references for billing purposes

2. How We Use Your Information

• Operate and maintain the Platform (web and mobile app)
• Match your property listings with buyer/tenant requirements
• Enable advisor-to-advisor and builder-to-advisor communication
• Process subscription payments and manage your account
• Send service-related notifications (push notifications, SMS, email)
• Enforce daily reveal limits and subscription policies
• Improve platform features based on usage analytics
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized data extraction

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We share your data in these limited circumstances:

• Other registered users: Your property listings are visible to other property advisors. Your personal contact details (phone/email) are only revealed when another user uses a subscription-based reveal credit.
• Payment processor: Razorpay processes your payments under their own privacy policy.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or government request.
• We never sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Security

• All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Passwords stored using bcrypt hashing (never in plain text)
• Database connections encrypted and access-controlled
• Regular automated backups (4x daily) to secure cloud storage
• Contact information masked by default and only revealed through the controlled reveal system

5. Data Retention

• Account data is retained as long as your account is active
• Property listings older than 60 days may be archived
• Transaction records are retained for 7 years (per Indian tax law)
• You may request account deletion by contacting support

6. Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update inaccurate information through your profile settings
• Deletion: Request account deletion (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Opt-out: Disable push notifications through your device settings

6b. Broker Consent & Do Not Disturb

• Consent: On first login, brokers choose to Accept, set Do Not Disturb, or Delete their PROPi profile. Your choice is recorded with its version, date and time, and can be changed any time from Settings → Privacy & your data.
• Location: With your permission, the app records your device location when you open it (never in the background). We use it to default your zones, show activity near you, and understand the areas you operate in at different times of day, so matching works better. Location history is kept for 180 days and is never shown to other users.
• Do Not Disturb: Turning on DND stops all contact from us and hides your profile and listings from other users. It is reversible.
• Pre-filled dashboard: For convenience, your account is pre-filled with your publicly-available listings and requirements. You may edit or delete any or all of it at any time.
• Deletion & myipl.in: Deleting your PROPi profile removes you from PROPi only. Your record on our internal platform myipl.in (RERA registration and publicly-listed properties) is retained as a business record; you can silence all contact there via Do Not Disturb. We retain a minimal record of your consent as legal proof.

6c. Grievance Officer

For any data request, consent withdrawal, or grievance under applicable Indian data-protection law, contact our Grievance Officer at legal@propi.in. We will respond within the timelines prescribed by law.

7. Push Notifications

Our mobile app uses Expo Push Notifications to send you alerts about new matching properties, subscription updates, and platform announcements. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's notification settings.

8. Cookies & Analytics

The web platform uses session cookies for authentication. We use server-side analytics to understand usage patterns. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising networks.

9. Children's Privacy

PROPi is intended for use by real estate professionals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
