Samsung India Electronics has expanded its operations in Chennai with a significant move to lease 1,000 desks at WeWork’s Olympia Cyberspace facility. The 42-month lease agreement covers 61,230 square feet, effectively doubling Samsung’s footprint in the region's managed office space segment. This strategic decision reflects Samsung's commitment to enhancing its presence in Chennai and its adaptability to modern, flexible workspaces, in line with broader business growth strategies.

WeWork’s Olympia Cyberspace facility, located in Guindy, Central Chennai, spans over 2.5 lakh square feet and is designed to accommodate over 3,000 desks. This facility offers a state-of-the-art environment that aligns with Samsung's objectives of fostering innovation and supporting its workforce’s needs for flexibility and collaboration. The facility also provides Samsung with enhanced access to key markets and talent pools, further solidifying Chennai's position as a growing tech hub.

This expansion by Samsung mirrors a larger trend among multinational corporations increasingly leveraging flexible workspaces to optimise operations.
